OzThoughts Monday 13th October 2008.
Monday is a day when I was at school and now in the workplace where people ask the question (in Ozzie) “didya hava goodweegend”? then comes the recounting of good times spent with family, friends or even alone.
A long time ago I determined I would recount my weekend honestly if I was asked. I would mention the time of worship, the open air meeting and the blessings of fellowship at Church.
This determination means that I reflect on the Sunday’s activities and prepare my heart and mind to give an answer. If what I do on a Sunday is acceptable to God then he will use it as I relate it to others.
I pray earnestly with the Psalmist:
There's more: God's Word warns us of danger
and directs us to hidden treasure.
12Otherwise how will we find our way?
Or know when we play the fool?
13Clean the slate, God, so we can start the day fresh!
Keep me from stupid sins,
from thinking I can take over your work;
Then I can start this day sun-washed,
scrubbed clean of the grime of sin.
14These are the words in my mouth;
these are what I chew on and pray.
Accept them when I place them
on the morning altar,
O God, my Altar-Rock,
God, Priest-of-My-Altar.
Psalm 19: 11- 14 (The Message)
Many may find that last verse more familiar in the King James Version:
14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. (Psalm 19:14 KJV).

My life must be Christ's broken bread,
My love his outpoured wine,
A cup o'erfilled, a table spread
Beneath his name and sign.
That other souls, refreshed and fed,
May share his life through mine.
My all is in the Master's hands
For him to bless and break;
Beyond the brook his winepress stands
And thence my way I take,
Resolved the whole of love's demands
To give, for his dear sake.
Lord, let me share that grace of thine
Wherewith thou didst sustain
The burden of the fruitful vine,
The gift of buried grain.
Who dies with thee, O Word divine,
Shall rise and live again.
