I love the positive attitude of Psalm 37 verses 3 and 4

Trust in the LORD and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Delight yourself in the LORD
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
(Psalm 37: 3,4. New International Version).

There are many situations in life that we face where all the pressures on us are so overwhelming that we might join those who are taking what seems to be the easy option in living. We plan to let go of anything that will bring pressure or stress to us. A bandsman recently shared with us how in a work situation he saw wrong being done. When he spoke out, it meant he lost his job. In fact, he lost a lot more than that. He faced a time of unemployment but through that God’s planning was perfect and he has now a much better situation work wise. He also can live with the fact that he did not turn a blind eye to corruption.

The Psalmist has a confident faith in God that all will be well. We can have the same confidence as we face the situations of life. God is in control.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, thank you for your planning for my life. I pray that today I may see you way for me as I trust in you. Help me to bring encouragement to others to walk more closely in your path for them. Amen.

God is still on the throne,
And he will remember his own;
Though trials may press us and burdens distress us,
He never will leave us alone.
God is still on the throne,
And he will remember his own;
His promise is true, he will not forget you;
God is still on the throne.

This is my Father's world,
And to my listening ears,
All nature sings and round me rings
The music of the spheres.
This is my Father's world,
I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas;
His hand the wonders wrought.

This is my Father's world,
The birds their carols raise,
The morning light, the lily white,
Declare their Maker's praise.
This is my Father's world
He shines in all that's fair;
In the rustling grass, I hear him pass,
He speaks to me everywhere.

This is my Father's world;
O let me ne'er forget
That though the wrong seems oft so strong,
God is the ruler yet.
This is my Father's world
The battle is not done;
Jesus who died shall be satisfied,
And earth and Heaven be one.
